More Than Bread Devotional for 7/2/12

Romans 5:3-5
Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.

Well this one is kinda hard to hear huh? What does suffering actually bring when it all comes together… Hope. What is our hope? I should say who?? Christ. Remember that no matter what happens we as believers have an eternal hope that spans any difficulties we may face in this life. Focus on what God is teaching you so that you only have to learn your lessons once. Trust me, if you are hard-headed… there will be a review lesson.
