10 More to be desired are they than gold,
even much fine gold;
sweeter also than honey
and drippings of the honeycomb. – Psalm 19:10
This was the chorus for a song that we used to sing in church when I was a kid. The verses were the various verses immediately before this one in the psalm. I admit that I struggled with this as a kid. You see, I wasn’t a big fan of honey, so I think the meaning was lost on me, and how many kids do you know that have big hangups about gold or jewelery as something important? You may not suffer from either of those deficiencies but regardless, let me put it in terms that all can understand. God’s law, precepts, commandments, testimony and rules are of greater value that your most prized possessions and they are sweeter than your favorite treat that you give yourself as a reward for a job well done. Do we treat them as such?
