I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised,
and I am saved from my enemies. – Psalm 18:3
Did you ever stop to think about what it means that God is worthy to be praised? I had a conversation in an online forum with a couple of guys who claim to be skeptics/atheists who were looking for proof that God exists. One of them wanted scientific, measurable proof of God’s existence. While it sounds like a “reasonable” thing perhaps, it misses a key facet of God’s nature and character. Who can measure God? And if by some chance you were to find a god who could be measured by the tools of man, would such a god even be worthy of worship? In truth, it would be no different than an idol of old. The fact that God is uncontainable is part of what makes Him worthy of praise. I will call up the Lord, who is worthy to be praised. Only He can save me when all others would fail.
