More Than Bread Devotional for 12/14/11

17 You have wearied the LORD with your words.  But you say, “How have we wearied him?”  By saying, “Everyone who does evil is good in the sight of the LORD, and he delights in them.” Or by asking, “Where is the God of justice?”  – Malachi 2:17

We often talk about being weary or worn out, but did you realize that God can be “wearied.”  While God is long-suffering and patient beyond our imaginations, it is apparent from Scripture that He will not suffer forever.  Those who question His righteousness and His judgments take the short-circuit path to “wearing Him out.”  God’s justice is indeed long-suffering and patient to bring all to repentance, but it does not wait forever.  His judgments are fair and they come at their appointed time.
