More Than Bread Devotional for 11/11/11

Psalm 25:7
Remember not the sins of my youth and my rebellious ways; according to your love remember me, for you are good, O LORD.

One of the bigger battles that believers face can be shame over the past. Whether you met Christ at a young age, or found him later in life, I guarantee you have done things that you are not proud of in life. Sometimes we have even done the same things over and over again. Satan can use these things as a tool in our lives if we are not vigilant. This Psalm is a good reminder of how God really sees us as believers. Once a sin is confessed, it is gone. God sees us according to His love. Picture yourself standing on one side of the blood veil of Christ and God standing on the other. That is what He sees when He sees you. Christ was the ultimate expression of His love. According to that love He remembers us.
Marvelous Grace of our loving Lord.
Grace that EXCEEDS our sin and our guilt.
