More Than Bread Devotional for 11/8/11

1O LORD, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
You have set your glory above the heavens.
2Out of the mouth of babies and infants,
you have established strength because of your foes,
to still the enemy and the avenger.  – Psalm 8:1-2

Sometimes we get the idea that God wants or maybe needs us to be strong all of the time.  I don’t know where it comes from, but we need to be reminded that it isn’t always the case.  Davids reminds us that God establishes strength from babies and infants.  I don’t know if you have held an infant lately, but they aren’t exactly the picture of strength.  God’s strength will make even the weakest of us strong at our weakest moments, if we will trust in Him alone.  Lean on Him, for when you are weak, then you are strong.
