5May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, 6that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. 7Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God. – Romans 15:5-7
Paul doesn’t necessarily have the reputation of the “warm and fuzzy” type of guy. A lot of people remember his argument with Barnabas over Mark and some of the harsher words that he threw out in a few of his letters. Paul was very intense I am sure. But Paul understood and taught in his letters as well, the importance of building relationships with one another in the faith. If you look at Romans 16, you will see a list of people that Paul includes in his greetings and messages. As we serve God, we need to work together. Our togetherness is an example to a watching world that the love of God that we talk about and share is real. To God be the glory.
