More Than Bread Devotional for 8/18/11

5Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time. 6Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.  –  Colossians 4:5-6

I know that some folks are concerned when it comes to talking to others about their faith.  They worry about what to say.  It is true that the way we speak to others reflects on the Kingdom of God and our Master.  But Paul encourages us by telling us that we can know how to answer others in these situations.  When we fill ourselves with Godly wisdom from Scripture, it makes our speech “salty” and good for those we speak to as well.  So fill your mind with God’s Word.  It is a good use of your time and it benefits you and others in the long run.
