More Than Bread Devotional for 6/8/11

16But I call to God,
and the LORD will save me.
17Evening and morning and at noon
I utter my complaint and moan,
and he hears my voice.
18He redeems my soul in safety
from the battle that I wage,
for many are arrayed against me.
19God will give ear and humble them,
he who is enthroned from of old,
Selah   – Psalm 55:16-19

Yesterday, I shared about the parable that Jesus told about remaining persistent in prayer and not giving up in our life of prayer.  I thought I would share some verses from the psalms along that same line as well.  David says that he cries out to God evening, morning and noon; which pretty much covers the whole day in some way or another.  More importantly, David reminds us that God hears us all the time.  So be encouraged as you go to the Lord in prayer.  He hears you and He will act.
