More Than Bread Devotional for 4/18/11

And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.  – Galatians 6:9

Somehow this verse just seems like a Monday kind of verse.  I think every time I read this verse it reminds me that getting weary isn’t a new phenomenon and that getting weary of always doing the right thing doubly so.  It is hard to press on and to keep going when we don’t hear the encouragement or get the appreciation we feel we need or deserve.  So let me be your encouragement on this Monday.  If you are where God wants you to be, keep on going.  Don’t grow weary.  If you don’t know if you are where God wants you to be, ask Him.  He will answer in due time, maybe even today.  If you are weary from waiting on the answer, hang in there all the more and don’t give up.  May God’s peace be yours in abundance today and every day until the harvest.  We will reap.  He promised.
