1 Corinthians 15:51-52
51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— 52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.
Today is a very exciting day. Today Jews all over the world will celebrate the beginning of a new year. They will do so with a blast of trumpets just like every year before. But did you know that the final blast they will blow in their sequence is known as the “last trump”? On this day, Jews celebrate the creation of man by God. On this day, we look forward to the new creation of man. We shall not all sleep, but we will all be changed – at the last trump! Could today be that day? It is certainly something to be excited about, even on a Monday.
