Matthew 9:9
9 As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector’s booth. “Follow me,” he told him, and Matthew got up and followed him.
Every journey begins with a step or so the saying goes. For those of us who choose to follow Jesus, that first step is a memorable one. I am sure Matthew never forgot that day that Jesus looked at him and said, “follow me.” He didn’t know where the road would lead him and he couldn’t have guessed how much his life would change. In that respect we are just like him. Once we make the decision to follow Jesus no matter what, life is never the same.
